A tour worth talking about

Hungary makes world-class wines and more of it than many realise. We took Hungarian Wine on a Roadtrip, showcasing just how diverse and exciting that offering really is. We set out to turn awareness into advocacy and get these exceptional wines onto lists, into social feeds and of course, into glasses.

The CHALLENGE

The challenge wasn’t awareness, it was broadening perception. These wines needed advocates, people who could taste, meet the makers, and share their stories. By putting bottles in hands and connecting winemakers with trade buyers, sommeliers, and storytellers, we set out to uncover the full depth of Hungary’s winemaking potential.

Volcanic soils. Ancient grapes. Modern winemaking. Hungary’s untold story finally shared.

A Dual impact event

We brought 30 winemakers to London, Birmingham and Bristol for trade tasting by day before transitioning into a listening bar by night, where press and influencers became the megaphone. For the London event we hosted the trade tasting at BRIX London before moving over to Eastcheap Records for a listening bar wine party.

The approach was an original way to blend together wines and music in a cool, contemporary and immersive way, no stuffy wine halls or velvet curtains – just exceptional wines, poured in characterful spaces, where conversation flowed and stories stuck.

Georgie's ruin bar

Hosted at wine journalist Georgie Fenn's farm in Northamptonshire, we created branded Hungarian Ruin Bar graphics (using real graffiti from bars nestled in Budapest) for an exclusive wine tasting and dinner with fellow journalists, trade, and Hungarian producers.

Tokaji Taki

To celebrate Tokaji Aszú day, wine influencer Georgie Fenn took guests on a unique tasting journey in our branded Tokaji taxi, exploring flavours, stories and history behind Hungary's most iconic wine before alighting at London's Noble Rot restaurant for an intimate wine tasting and dinner.
